Allpress Roastery & Cafe, Melbourne.
80 Rupert St
Collingwood
Melbourne
Allpress has been available via Melbourne cafes for some time - but now Allpress have opened their own Roastery to cater for the Melbourne market. But this is not just a roastery. This is a beautiful space featuring a large warehouse, housing the custom designed and build hot air roaster. There is also a cafe, courtyard, garden and upstairs the Allpress Studio - a space set up to support the arts, exhibitions and events.
Here are some snaps!

Tomboy Cafe
Tomboy Cafe
356 Smith St,
Collingwood
VIC 3066
It is ironic that I don't get out much now I am publishing Espresso Tales, isn't it? Yes, I think it is. But with my youngest in school next year that may change! Today we did a walking tour of the Johnston and Smith Streets vintage-ware stores. I picked up a cute globe and some scrabble lettering. We stopped for an afternoon coffee at Tomboy which I have heard of but have not visited. Actually I haven't visited many cafes that have opened in the last year or so! Yes indeed, nest week at least one new place a week. That must be my mission.
Anyway, coffee was perfect and the range of brownies on offer was most impressive. Yummo. Must get out more.
Here are a few shots of their interiors.

Ltd Espresso and Brew Bar
Ltd Espresso
362 Brunswick St
Fortutude Valley
Brisbane 4006
Not Melbourne, but so worth the visit ;)
Ltd really is just an espresso bar - here it is all about coffee. Perhaps that is what the Ltd stands for?! Staff were even happy for food and drinks from outside to be bought in on account of the fact that they only offer coffee - which was handy with kids in tow! We were staying just down the road so I managed several pit stops here - the coffee was perfect on every visit. There is some seating between high stools and a cute booth down the back and an active take-away trade to keep the charming, coffee-loving staff busy.

Cherry & Twigs

This beautiful little cafe felt all 'Scandinavian-Zen' with it's precise minimalism, white walls and blond wood furniture. The western reaches of the city are becoming populated with great coffee shops (kinfolk, grain store, halyard) and this little retreat will surely join their ranks. Owner/barista/architect Rhesa has it all perfectly in control....
